When I’m a guest for your Event or Podcast

Thank you so much for inviting me to be part of what you make!

Here are some of the things I’m often asked in regard to events or interviews. In the past, we called this the Press Kit, but that seems a bit self-inflated.

Content:

For your Podcast: I’m guessing you already have a topic or angle in mind since we’ve already booked. As a professional communicator with 30 years of experience, I’m comfortable chatting about almost anything, although I do like to have a sense of direction ahead of time so I can come prepared to give you and your audience something really helpful.

Often, I’m talking about Christian perspectives on inner life issues, emotional maturity and discipleship including topics like grief, trauma, and the way our story impacts our life. I’m a progressive-leaning Christian pastor and often talk about topics of deconstruction, faith revitalization, and practical Christian living in this complex world.

You can check out other interviews I’ve done here.

For your Event: We’ll sort out the exact content for my presentations at your event ahead of time. I’ll submit a topic proposal for your approval as part of my event contract so you can know exactly what to expect.

Tech Needs:

For Your Podcast: I’m fully tech capable and equipped, so I am able to participate in your podcast recording in whatever way gets you the highest quality recording, whether phone, audio only, or high quality video.

For Your Event: I’m comfortable working in nearly any environment, and we will work out the specific details of what is needed for your venue in our discussion. That will be detailed in my event contract.

Bios:

Here are a selection of bios you can use for your promotion, podcast show notes, and introductions.

For conversations that center around mental health & emotional maturity:

Marc Alan Schelske is a husband, dad of two, writer, speaker, and recovering fundamentalist. He’s a pastor with more than 25 years of ministry experience. Midway through, Marc’s life took an unexpected turn as he came face to face with depression and near burn-out, nearly losing his family and ministry. With the help of some trusted friends he began the arduous process of emotional and spiritual recovery. This unfolding process has shifted Marc’s priorities, resulting in an intense interest in the connection between emotional growth and spiritual growth, and how God works in and through our internal brokenness and trauma. He’s written four books, Discovering Your Authentic Core Values, and The Wisdom of Your Heart: Discovering the God-given Purpose and Power of Your Emotions, the Untangle Workbook, and Journaling for Spiritual Growth, among other resources for spiritual growth. He’s hosts the The Apprenticeship Way podcast and he writes about intentional spiritual growth at www.MarcAlanSchelske.com
